Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the basis on which Tickwright accepts watches for service and repair. Please read them before leaving a watch with us.

Last updated: June 2025

1. Introduction

These terms apply between you and Tickwright ("we", "us") when you ask us to assess, service, or repair a watch. By leaving a watch with us or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, please ask before the work begins.

Our workshop address is 128 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. You can reach us at +66 2 634 8217 or [email protected].

2. Accepting a Watch for Work

When you leave a watch with us, we will carry out an initial assessment and provide a written estimate for the work required. No service work begins until you have seen and agreed to the estimate. If we discover additional issues during the work, we will contact you before continuing.

We reserve the right to decline work if, in our view, the watch is in a condition that makes the requested service impractical, or where suitable parts are unavailable.

3. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are provided in Thai Baht (฿) and are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. Estimates cover the specific scope of work agreed. If the scope changes during the work — for example, because additional worn components are found — we will update the estimate and seek your approval before proceeding.

Our current service prices are:

  • Mechanical Movement Service — ฿4,100
  • Crystal & Case Refinishing — ฿7,500
  • Vintage Restoration Program — ฿11,900 (staged, with sign-off at each step)

Prices are subject to change. The price agreed at the point of estimate is the price that applies to your watch.

4. Turnaround Times

We will give you an estimated completion date when work is agreed. Turnaround times depend on the nature of the work, the condition of the watch, and the availability of any parts that need to be sourced. We will keep you informed of progress and will notify you promptly if there is any change to the expected timeline.

We do not accept responsibility for delays caused by factors outside our control, including parts availability from suppliers.

5. Collection and Payment

Watches must be collected within 30 days of notification that work is complete. Payment is due in full at the time of collection. We accept cash and major credit and debit cards. We reserve the right to charge a storage fee for watches left uncollected beyond this period.

If a watch is not collected within 90 days of the completion notification and we are unable to reach you, we may take reasonable steps to recover the cost of completed work in accordance with applicable law.

6. Coverage Period

We stand behind our bench work. Mechanical Movement Services include a coverage period of 12 months on the work performed, covering defects in the service itself. This does not apply to damage caused by impact, moisture ingress, misuse, or work carried out by another party after we have returned the watch.

Crystal & Case Refinishing and Vintage Restoration Program work carries a 6-month coverage period on work performed. Parts sourced from third parties may carry their own separate terms.

Coverage applies to the specific work carried out. It does not extend to the overall watch or to pre-existing conditions noted in our initial assessment.

7. Pre-Existing Condition

We will note any visible pre-existing condition — scratches, damage, or non-original components — at the time we receive the watch. This record protects both parties. Please review the condition note carefully when you leave the watch with us and raise any concerns at that point.

8. Vintage and Sentimental Pieces

Older watches may have fragile components that do not withstand standard servicing procedures. Where we identify parts that are at heightened risk during the work, we will advise you before proceeding. You accept that, for watches of significant age or in worn condition, some risk is inherent in the service process and cannot be entirely avoided.

For the Vintage Restoration Program, we will seek your sign-off at each stage before continuing. No irreversible step will be taken without your explicit agreement.

9. Liability

We take care with every watch in our workshop. Our liability for loss or damage caused by our negligence is limited to the current fair market value of the watch at the time it was received, or the cost of restoring it to the condition it was in when received, whichever is lower.

We are not liable for loss of enjoyment, sentimental value, or indirect losses of any kind. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions that were present when the watch was received.

We strongly recommend that watches of significant monetary value are covered under your own insurance while with us.

10. Data and Communications

When you contact us or leave a watch with us, we will hold relevant personal details so we can manage your work and communicate with you. How we use that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be referred to the appropriate Thai jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your watch are the version in place at the time the work was agreed. We will notify you of material changes where possible.

13. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, please get in touch before leaving your watch with us.
